Good morning my friends!
First of all I have to remind my Norvegian readers about the summerchallenge at CMN, still some days to enter! Read about it
here
Earlier I found it very hard to colur white to make it look natural, but then I found this Copic combination and I just love it :)
I use E81 as my darkest, W0 as my middeltone and 0 blender to blend it smoth together.
I have used the beautiful new image from
D'Arcy's Diaries for my tutorial today. This one is called Flower Girl and you find it
here if you want your own :)
Isn't this a lovely image!
Here I have coloured my image except from the white areas that I will show you.
List of Copics on the end of post :)
Start to fill in your darkest areas with your E81.
Blend the E81 with your blender 0 without taking to much colour away. Just to remove some of the harch lines.
Go over again with your E81 and blend with your W0, and then go over with your blender.
You don't want to use to much colour, so be sure to stop in time! Otherwise the white will look only grey.
This is my finished image.
I have added some shadow around here just to make the image pop a bit.
I often use C3-1-0 for white too, but I prefere this one :) And I know some use the lightest blue colours too as white, B0000 and B60. Good combination if you are colouring a snowman for example.
Here is my list of Copics:
Skin: E21, 00,000, R 93 for rosy cheeks
Hair: E55, 53, 51, 50
Blue on flowers and dress: B97, 95, 93, 91
Green on the leafs: BG 96, 93, 90
Basket: E59, 57,55, 53
Shadow: BV 20 and C0
Will show you my finished card another day :)
Hope you liked this and I would love to hear your thoughts.
Have a wonderful day my friends
Big hugs, Jill
